"This is Tom Hardy and Lishe Morgan's hog song. There was some hog rogues down the river here, and they was accused of stealing hogs} and old Tom Morgany he made that song. It was on some of our people, and he was our people y too; but he made the song. Some of them wanted to kill him over it} and some of them saidy 'Let him go} he's all right* said} 'He's a purty good feller' I learned that when I was about five years old, and I'm fifty-eight now.
